Annex is a fashion boutique born out of a passion that connects us all as women:
beautiful clothes and the desire to look and feel good in what we wear.

When was the last time you treated yourself with a pretty dress that makes you feel special? A dress that takes you out of the daily grind, that makes you dream and reminds you of your feminine essence and unique appeal?

We live in a time when there is a lot of talk about the power of women. But shouldn’t we ask ourselves first what it really means to be a woman? And how do we honour our own femininity and individuality?

Searching for these answers we started making sketches of clothes, dreaming of creating own fashion line of dresses and accessories, that can revitalise women’s individual style; that can make femininity and class popular again and champion finesse and flair in a world of so much uniformity and street style.

We were influenced by classical Hollywood cinema and its icons like Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, whose inner strength and personality was enhanced by the clothes they were wearing. Our dreams were to wear stylish, elegant and beautifully designed dresses from quality materials, handcrafted and ethically produced.

Having done some sketches, one day we drove away to Italy to source couture fabrics, silk scarves, and more inspiration for the first fashion line!
The trip was a thrill. We visited several family-run factories boasting luxury fabrics already sold to traditional couture houses worldwide. We saw some captivating fabric creations and immediately fell in love with the embroidery, fabric art and handwork. That was the start…
We bought several metres of couture fabrics, including some from the world’s top textile producers in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and began making cocktail dresses. To this day my team and I are working with the same factories because we value tradition and great quality. The first piece we made was a puffed skirt inspired by Grace Kelly. It was hand sewn in Russia by some of the best tailors in Moscow. Today, the puffed skirt remains one of our central pieces, but we also love dresses, which we make from fine fabrics such as silk taffeta, cotton, brocade, and lace, hand sewn with beautiful details.

Feminine elegance and class have remained our signature style, no matter the changing trends in fashion. Our loyal clients appreciate that we remain true to our values. They themselves have the aptness to see and appreciate exquisite couture fabrics and sophisticated tailoring.
And, while you may be thinking that’s too princess-y for the modern, empowered woman, let me assure you that the women who wear our dresses and skirts may feel plucked from a fairy tale, but they are hyperaware of the realities of modern life and have their feet firmly planted on the ground. They wear flat shoes and even sneakers, not stilettos, and they certainly don’t dream of being saved by a prince.

Finally, we want to dare your imagination with our fine fabrics and take you on a mesmerising adventure. A beautiful dress can never really go out of style, and a woman should always be free to choose what she wants to wear, no matter the current trends.
